Tanzania Music Awards 2022/2023

The Tanzania Music Awards have been held since 2000, with the aim of promoting and honoring the music industry in Tanzania. The awards are organized by Basata (Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa), Tanzania’s National Arts Council, and include various categories, including Best Male and Female Artists, Best Songwriter, Best Music Video, and Best Album.
Zuchu emerges as the Top winner of the 2022 TMA Awards
ZUCHU emerged as the top winner of the TMA Awards 2022 (Washindi Tuzo Za Muziki Tanzania), cementing her position as a rising star in the Tanzanian music industry. The award for the Best Female Musician for the year 2022 was announced to Wcbwasafi’s officialzuchu, thus making her a leading artist who has won more awards than others.
Zuchu has done so in five categories including this and others such as Best Female Artist Bobgo Fleva, Best Video of the Year, Best Digital Artist Choice and Best Song of the Year Bongo Fleva.
