Similarly, applicants possessing equivalent entry qualifications, such as diplomas and certificates, are advised to obtain an award verification number (AVN) from The National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) at www.nacte.go.tz.

In order to apply at the University of Dar es Salaam Online, prospective students are required to use the university’s Online Admission System, UDSM-OLAS. The system can be accessed at https://admission.udsm.ac.tz.
As part of the application process, all applicants, including Tanzanian nationals, are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of TZS 10,000. There are multiple payment options available for your convenience, such as traditional banking methods or mobile payment platforms like M-Pesa, Tigo-Pesa, Halopesa, T-pesa, and Airtel-Money.
This application fee must be paid as soon as applicant receive a control number after completing registration process in University of Dar es Salaam Online application system (UDSM-OLAS system).
International applicants are not required to pay any fees during the online application process. However, upon arrival, there will be a fee of 10 USD that they need to settle. The University of Dar es Salaam has made significant efforts to simplify and facilitate the application process for all prospective students, regardless of their nationality or background. University of Dar es Salaam Online Application System UDSM-OLAS Registration
1. To start UDSM online registration you need to visit https://admission.udsm.ac.tz/index.php?r=site%2Flogin#w8-dd1-tab1 and there fill in all required information correctly.
2. You will be asked to provide your personal information such as First name, Middle name, Surname, Sex, Email Address, Mobile Number and password that will be used when login into UDSM online application system.
3. Once you completed entering your personal information, you must select a password of your choice that will serve as your login credentials for UDSM-OLAS In order to complete your registration.
4. Then enter the characters displayed in the Captcha section (blue characters) accurately. Finally, click on the “REGISTER AS UNDERGRADUATE” button to successfully create your account.
5. Once you have successfully registered UDSM-OLAS account, the system will send an email to the email address you provided. To activate your UDSM-OLAS account, log in to your email account and open the mail received from UDSM-OLAS. Just click on the link on the received email to enter the UDSM-OLAS system.
How To Generate Control Number for UDSM-OLAS Application Fee Payment
To create a Control Number for University of Dar es salaam application fee payment you must login into UDSM-OLAS account at (https://admission.udsm.ac.tz/index.php?r=site%2Flogin#w8-tab3) and then click on “PAYMENT” option and then create control number for application fee. Use the reference number shown to pay application fee by using mobile money services i.e. Mpesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money etc.

If You Wish To Pay UDSM Application Fee With AIRTEL MONEY:

- Then select 5 Lipia Bili, PAY bill
- Then select 5 Malipo ya Serikali
- The Reference number/namba ya malipo: take from your Admission system account at the make payment button,

After payment, the system will automatically update and allow you to proceed to applying for admission at UDSM.
