TCU Undergraduate Transfer Procedures 2023 | Jinsi Ya Kuhama Chuo 2023/2024
According to the Universities Act Cap. 346 Section 5(1) (1), the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) has been given the authority to create procedures for students looking to switch universities or academic programs. These guidelines are designed to help both undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to transfer their credits to approved programs at local universities. The First year students’ transfers are categorized by TCU into: Inter- University Transfer, and Intra-University Transfer.
- Inter-University transfer allows admitted students to transfer from one Institution to another, whether within the same or different programme whereas
- Intra -University transfer allows students to change a programme within an institution.

According to regulation 46 of the Rules of Universities (General), GN. Number 226 of 2013, students have the option to transfer between educational institutions or change their academic programs within the same institution, provided that certain conditions are met.
