The NIT, or the National Institute of Transport, is a highly esteemed transport institution located in Ubungo Light Industrial area, to the west of Dar-es-Salaam City. Just like other universities in Tanzania, the Institute of Social Work has established standards and eligibility criteria that prospective students must meet in order to enroll in the various programs offered. These qualifications are divided into two categories: general admission requirements and specific program requirements.
NIT General Admission Requirements Into Degree Courses
To be accepted into different degree courses offered at National Institute of Transport (Sifa Za Kujiunga Na Chuo Cha Usafirishaji Shahada), you will need to have a minimum of two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points from two subjects defining the admission into the respective programme (where A=5; B=4; C=3; D=2; E=1).
Entry Requirements Into NIT Ordinary Diploma Programmes
To be admitted into the NIT’s Ordinary Diploma Program, you must have achieved a minimum of one principal pass and one subsidiary pass at the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) in relevant subjects, totaling to a minimum of 1.5 points, which would mean obtaining at least one “E” and one “S”.
In addition, you must have at least four credits from Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE). These credits should be from the subject areas that do not include religious studies.
