Bachelor of Arts with Education
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes in subjects such as History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, French, Arabic, Fine Arts, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, or Advanced Mathematics.
- Equivalent Entry: A Diploma in Education with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Alternatively, completion of the Foundation Programme of The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Bachelor of Science Education
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Advanced Mathematics, Agriculture, or Computer Science.
- Equivalent Entry: A Diploma in Education with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Alternatively, completion of the Foundation Programme of The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Bachelor of Business Administration
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes in subjects such as History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, French, Arabic, Fine Arts, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Advanced Mathematics, Agriculture, or Computer Science.
- Equivalent Entry: A Diploma in various fields of Business Administration with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Alternatively, completion of the Foundation Certificate of The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Bachelor of Pharmacy
- Direct Entry: Three principal passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 6 points, along with a minimum D grade in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
- Equivalent Entry: A Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additionally, an applicant must have a minimum “D” grade in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English at O-Level.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Direct Entry: Three principal passes in Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics, Advanced Mathematics, or Nutrition with a minimum of 6 points. Minimum grades required are C in Chemistry and D in Biology, with at least an E grade in Physics, Advanced Mathematics, or Nutrition.
- Equivalent Entry: A Diploma in Nursing with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additionally, an applicant must have a minimum “D” grade in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English at O-Level.
Bachelor of Commerce with Education
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes in subjects such as Mathematics, Accountancy, Economics, Commerce, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, or Agriculture.
- Equivalent Entry: A Diploma in fields related to Commerce, Business Studies, Finance, Microfinance Management, Statistics, Banking and Finance, Taxation, Computer Science, or others, with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Alternatively, completion of the Foundation Certificate of The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Bachelor of Accounting and Finance
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes in subjects such as Economics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, History, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, or Agriculture.
- Equivalent Entry: Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Business Studies, Finance, Microfinance Management, Local Government Accounting and Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, Public Sector Finance, Statistics, Banking and Finance, Taxation, Customs and Tax management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0. OR Foundation Certificate of The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Bachelor of Arts in Theology
In order to be considered for direct entry into the Bachelor of Arts in Theology program at St John University, applicants must have obtained two principal passes in any of the following subjects: Divinity, History, Geography, Kiswahili, English Language, French, Arabic, Fine Arts, Economics, Commerce, Accountancy, Advanced Mathematics, Agriculture, Computer Science or Nutrition.
If you do not meet the requirements for direct entry, there is still a possibility for admission through having a diploma in various fields such as Theology, Philosophy, Psychology, Education, Guidance and Counselling, Law, Business Studies, Computer Engineering, Project Planning Management, Clinical Pastoral Care, Biblical Studies, Theology Ministry and Mission, Christian Ministry, Bible Theology and Leadership or Sociology. To be eligible for consideration in this case your average grade should at least be a”B” or have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Additionally if you possess a Foundation Certificate from The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0 you are also able to apply.
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
Direct Entry: To qualify for direct entry into the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program at St John University, you must have attained two principal passes in any of the following subjects: Advanced Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Biology, Economics, Accountancy, Commerce, or Computer Science. However, if one of your principal passes is not in Advanced Mathematics, you will need to have a subsidiary pass in Advanced Mathematics or Basic Applied Mathematics at the A-Level.
Equivalent Entry: If you don’t meet the direct entry criteria, you still have an opportunity to gain admission by holding a diploma or Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in any of the following fields:
Information Technology, Computing and Information Technology, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Application. Your average grade should be a “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0. Alternatively, if you have a Foundation Certificate from The OUT with a minimum GPA of 3.0, you are also eligible to apply.
