NESA Results 2023-www.nesa.gov.rw: The Ministry of Education in Rwanda (MINEDUC) has announced the results of the state exams (Nesa Results 2023 Rwanda (P6, S3, S6)) marking the end of primary schools and the first stage of secondary schools for the academic year 2022/2023.
In a statement released on Monday, September 11, 2023, MINEDUC informed the Rwandan populace that the eagerly awaited results will be made public on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. local time. This announcement comes as a moment of anticipation and excitement for the students, parents, and educators who have been awaiting these results.
A total of 202,967 primary school students took the Primary Education Leaving Examination this year. The exam began on July 17, 2023, marking an important milestone in the 2022/2023 school year. Among those students, there were 91,067 boys, and 111,900 girls, showing the commitment to continue providing quality education for all genders. The diversity of participants reflects the inclusiveness of Rwanda’s education system.
Checking Nesa Results 2023 Rwanda (P6, S3, S6)
To check results of Rwanda Primary Leaving Examination and Ordinary Level online you will need to have a smartphone device, laptop or desktop computer with internet access. Once you have these you can check your results simply on NESA School Data Management System SDMS by follow the steps listed below
Visit NESA School Data Management System SDMS website via www.sdms.gov.rw/sas-ui/public/nationalExaminationResult.zul
Then select the examination results you wish to check. Click on “Primary Level” for primary school leaving examination results or “Ordinary Level” for NESA ordinary level results.
There after you will need to provide the Index Number to access your results. Once you enter your Index Number, click on the “Get Results” button shown below. Now your Rwanda Primary Leaving Examination and Ordinary Level will be displayed (Nesa Results 2023 Rwanda), you can download the result or print it for future purpose.

The National School Examination and Inspection Authority (NESA) is a government institution established in 2020 by presidential order No N° 123/01 of 15/10/2020 published in the Official Gazette N° 32 bis of 19/10 /2020. It was established under the Ministry of Education, to be at the center for monitoring the implementation of Rules and Standards through school inspections and also to manage detailed evaluations from the first level (1) to the level (5) in TSS and Basic Education in line with the Curriculum/ Competency Based Learning
NESA has the following main responsibilities:
- To set standards for accreditation of private basic education schools and TSS from level one (1) to five (5);
- To monitor the implementation of norms and standards in public, Government subsidized and private basic education and TSSs from level one (1) to five (5);
- To ensure the quality of education in public, Government subsidized and private basic education and TSSs from level one (1) to five (5);
- To prepare, conduct and mark national examinations;
- To publish national examinations results;
- To orient students of primary and ordinary level schools who passed the national examinations.
