National Institute of Transport Courses Offered 2022/2023, Kozi za NIT Dar es salaam: The National Institute of Transport (NIT) is a public higher learning institution located one kilometer west of Dar es Salaam City, along Mabibo Road in the Ubungo Light Industrial sector. NIT was founded in 1975 as the National Transport Corporation’s training arm (NTC). NIT was tasked with improving the human resource capabilities of NTC’s subsidiary firms’ transport operatives and middle-level managers. National Bus Services Limited (KAMATA), Usafiri Dar-as-Salam Limited (UDA), Regional Transport Firms (RETCOs), and others were among these subsidiary companies.

The Institute is fully recognized by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) to offer Certificate, Diploma, and Degree-level Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) programs (National Technical Awards -NTA level 4 to level 8). It is also accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT International) to teach and assess CILT International Introductory Certificates, International Certificates, Ordinary Diploma, and Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport.

Furthermore, the Institute works with the Open University of Tanzania (OUT) and International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Consult (IPSCMC) to provide an MBA in Logistics and Transport Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
