Msimamo Wa Ligi Daraja La Kwanza 2022/23 Championship: Tanzania championship league also known as ligi Daraja la kwanza or Second Division League is the second tier of domestic association football in Tanzania. It is one of the football competitions in Tanzania under the administration of Tanzania Football Federation.
The league follows the same format as NBC Premier league and is participated by 16 clubs from all over Tanzania. The two clubs that will finish the season in first and second place will get the chance to be promoted into NBC Premier league which is the top professional football league competition in Tanzania while the teams that will finish in third and fourth place will qualify for the knockout stage to compete for the ticket to be promoted to Tanzania premier league. The two teams that end the season occupying the last place in the league standings will be relegated and the last four will enter the playoffs to seek a place to remain in the first division.
