Msimamo Kundi La Tanzania KUfuzu Kombe La Dunia 2026: The African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicked off on November 15, marking the start of the international football spectacle. With the expanded format, the African continent is expected to send a large number of nations to this prestigious event.
Last season, only five countries represented Africa at the World Cup finals in Qatar. Morocco’s good performance made history by becoming the first African team to reach the semi-finals. However, in the next edition organized by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, nine African teams are guaranteed a place to qualify in the tournament that will involve 48 teams instead of 32.
The African continent’s representatives for the upcoming global event will be determined through the ongoing World Cup qualifiers. In these games, teams of different nationalities will compete fiercely in groups where the winner of the group will get a direct ticket to participate in the playoffs.
In those groups, the Tanzanian football team known as Taifa Stars has been assigned to group E which includes various teams including Zambia, Morocco, Niger, Congo and Eritrea
