The NECTA Standard Seven Results Mara or Matokeo Ya Darasa la Saba Mara 2022 in Swahili are the results of the primary school leaving national examination of the schools located in Mara Region.
The exams are organized by the National Examinations Council of Tanzania (NECTA) and are held annually in September and results are announced in December, during which students take exams in Kiswahili, English, Maarifa, Hisabati, Science, and Uraia.
The NECTA Standard Seven exams aim to assess students’ skills and knowledge in subjects taught from standard one up to standard seven; to assess students’ understanding of basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills and the extent that they can use such knowledge in solving pertinent problems in life. The exam also helps identify students who are ready for secondary education or other training institutes.

About Mara Region: The history of this region begins in 1961 when it was together with the present Mwanza and Shinyanga Regions at that time being included in EAST LAKE PROVINCE, with the Headquarters being in Mwanza.
Among the Districts that made up East Lake Province are the districts of North Mara and South Mara which are the origins of the Mara Region established in 1963 as one of the current 31 Regions.
From that time the Headquarters became Musoma until now. The first Regional Head was Hon. John S. Malecela between 1963 and 1965. Since 1963, the Region has been led by 17 Regional Heads including the current Regional Head Hon. Adam Kighoma Ali Malima who started in October 2017.
