Makundi Ya Kombe La Shirikisho Afrika 2022/2023: The CAF Confederation Cup is an annual football competition organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). It is the second-tier competition of African club football, after the CAF Champions League. The winner of the CAF Confederation Cup qualifies for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The CAF Confederation Cup was first held in 1992. It was previously known as the CAF Cup. It was renamed in 2004. The competition has been held every year since its inception, except for 2020, when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 73 clubs have competed in the CAF Confederation Cup, from 27 different CAF member associations. The most successful club in the competition is TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo, who have won the cup three times.
Makundi Ya Kombe La Shirikisho Afrika 2022/2023
This season’s CAF Confederation Cup group stage (Makundi Ya Kombe La Shirikisho Afrika 2022/2023) will kick off in February 2022 and end on April 2, 2023. Clubs that qualified for the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup and those relegated from the CAF Champions League will compete fiercely to find their champions who will qualify for the stage of knockout.
The draw for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage round was first schedule to take place on Wednesday, 16 November 2022 but then postponed and conducted December 12 2022 . The first leg of each tie will be played between February 6 and March 5, 2022, while the second leg will be held between March 12 and April 2, 2023.
