Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA)- Morogoro
The Sokoine University of Agriculture is Tanzania’s best university, founded with the goal of producing experts in agriculture and livestock. SUA was established in 1965 as an Agricultural College that provided diploma training in the field of agriculture. Since then, this college has grown to become Tanzania’s leading producer of agricultural and livestock specialists.
The university is located in Morogoro. It has a student population of over 5,000 people, including both undergraduates and postgraduates. USA offers courses in areas such as agricultural technology, animal science and management, aquaculture, horticulture, forestry and natural resources management.
Sokoine University of Agriculture is Tanzania’s only college with the environment and resources to teach all agricultural courses. The college has a large area for practical training as well as a sufficient number of lecturer rooms for theory.

University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Dar es Salaam
University of Dar es Salaam is a leading university in Tanzania with so many youth dreaming to be part of its alumni. The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) was established in 1961 University College Dar es Salaam (UCD), an affiliated college of the University of London, and became an independent university in 1970.
The University of Dar es Salaam, or UDSM, has two constituent colleges: the Dar es Salaam University College of Education in the city of Dar es Salaam and the Mkwawa University College of Education in Iringa. There are also seven campus colleges and five institutes hosting numerous academic departments covering a wide range of programmes.
In order to fulfill the government’s goal of producing many professionals in the field of agriculture, UDSM established the College of Agricultural Sciences and Food Technology which missioned to advance the economic and social development in agriculture, livestock, fisheries and beekeeping through effective teaching, research, innovation and knowledge management.
