Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE Results 2022 Online
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results for the year 2022 have been released. A total of 1,233,852 candidates sat for the exam, which was conducted between October 26 and 28 in 28,408 examinations center across the country. Out of 1,233,852 candidates who sat for the exam 620,965 (50.32%) were boys and 612,887 (49.67%) were girls. The results show a slight improvement in the pass rate.
At the event to announce the results of KCPE Ezekiel Machogu, the Minister of Education: he said that “The score of the highest candidate for the year 2022 has increased from 428 which grew in 2021 to 431 in 2022. The Ministry is very pleased with the students who took the KCPE exam of 2022 by doing better and raising overall achievement levels.
Candidates who got marks between 400-500 were 9,443 (0.77%), and those who got 300-399 were 307,756 (24.94%), 200-299 were 619,593 (50.22%), 100-199 were 296,32-9 and those who got 296,336 ( 9%). the score was 724 (0.06%).
Girls outperformed boys, with a pass rate of 97.01%, compared to 91.74% for boys. The best performing candidate was a girl, who scored 455 marks out of a possible 500.
The results have been welcomed by education experts, who say that they show a positive trend in the quality of primary education in Kenya.
The results of the 2022 KCPE Examination released today on Wednesday, 21th November 2022. The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) have already release the results through the media and official website.
