Minister of State in the Office of the President for Regional Administration and Local Government (known as TAMISEMI or Ofisi ya Rais Tawala za Mikoa na Serikali za Mitaa in swahili), Hon. Angellah Kairuki, has announced Form Five selection for the 2023/2024 academic Year. She added that the utilization of online platforms for student selection in Tanzania has resulted in significant cost savings.
Today, on June 11, 2023, she officially released the Form five selection 2023 results, including names of the students who have been selected to join form five and technical collages in government-owned schools/collages across different regions in Tanzania.
Minister Kairuki announced that a total of 1,878 students have been assigned to eight specialized secondary schools, including 1,097 girls and 781 boys. The designated schools are Kilakala, Mzumbe, Ilboru, Kisimiri, Msalato, Kibaha, Tabora Boys and Tabora Girls. Furthermore, an impressive number of 188,128 students who met the criteria have also been selected to join the fifth grade in various schools and colleges throughout the nation.

The form four results in 2022 indicate that 192,348 candidates achieved success with grades ranging from first to third. Among them, 188,128 candidates were from mainland Tanzania, comprising 84,509 girls and 103,619 boys.
During a press conference held today, Sunday, June 11, 2023, in this city, Minister Angelah Kairuki from the Office of the President, Regional Administration, and Local Government (Tamisemi), explained that the assignment process was based on the statistics of the fourth-grade exam results of mainland Tanzanian students in the year 2022.
