About Mbeya Region
Mbeya Region, along with Rukwa, Iringa, and Ruvuma, is one of four areas of Tanzania’s Southern Highlands. Mbeya region was established in 1961, first named as the ‘Southern Highland Province,’ containing sections of Iringa and Rukwa areas.
