Entry Requirements For Basic Technician Certificates Courses
Applicants should hold a Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE)-Form IV with at least four passes, excluding religious subjects. Applicants who have finished Form IV but do not have two or more passes in relevant fields may apply after having NVA Level 2 certificates in their chosen field.
The above listed qualification is general qualification, you may need to check for specific entry requirements basing on the institution you want to apply and course you want to pursue. Below we have listed minimum qualifications applied in some of the Basic Technician Certificates Courses offered at different institutions in Tanzania.
- Basic Technician Certificate in Education Leadership Management and Administration (celma): Three years working experience is required for the holders of Teachers Certificate of Education, Diploma in Teacher Education and Bachelor Degree in Education.
- Basic Technician Certificate in Rural Development Planning: Holders of CSEE with at least Four (4) passes in non-religious subjects
- Basic Technician Certificate in Social Protection: Holders of the CSEE with at least four passes in non-religious subjects.
- To qualify for the Basic Technician Certificate in Tour Guiding Operations, one must hold the CSEE with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects OR NVA Level III with Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations.
- Holders of the Basic Technician Certificate in Tour Guide must have a Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four passes in non-religious subjects.
- Basic Technician Certificate in Human Resource Management: Holders of the CSEE with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects
- Basic Technician Certificate in Procurement and Supply: Holders of an ordinary level Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four passes in non-religious subjects.
- You must have at least four (4) non-religious subjects in the CSEE to be eligible for the Basic Technician Certificate in Community Development degree.
- Basic Technician Certificate in Computing and Information Technology: Holders of CSEE with at least four (4) passes in non-religious subjects including either Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
