Course Offered At The Institute of Adult Education IAE 2023/2024: The Institute of Adult Education (IAE) was founded in 1960 as an extension of Makerere University College, which is affiliated with the University of London. In 1963, the Institute was elevated to the status of a department and assigned to the Dar es Salaam University College. Later, it was formed as an autonomous institution by Parliamentary Act No. 12 of 1975 under the then Ministry of National Education, which is now the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology.

To date, the Institute has become a center for Adult School Learning, Research, and Training for Certificate, Diploma, and Degree courses, as well as Diploma, certificates, and post-Primary education learners. Its services have been expanded to the grassroots level through regional centers created across Mainland Tanzania in 26 areas.
