The Form Six results for the year 2023 have been officially released by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA). According to Dr. Said Mohamed, the Executive Secretary of NECTA, there has been a slight increase of 0.26 percent in overall success compared to the previous year 2022. The announcement of these results took place today, on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at NECTA’s offices in Zanzibar.

The total number of candidates who registered for the exam was 106,883, with 47,340 girls and 59,543 boys. Out of the candidates who took the NECTA Form six exam in 2023, a total of 104,549 students, which accounts for 99.23 percent of the candidates, have passed. Among the successful candidates, 46,707 girls, equivalent to 99.51 percent, have passed, while 57,843 boys, representing 99 percent, have also passed.

In comparison, in 2022, a total of 93,136 candidates, equivalent to 98.97 percent, had passed the exam. Therefore, the overall success rate has increased by 0.26 percent compared to the results of 2022.
